Faithful & Fair: Recruitment in Churches
About This Workshop
Recruiting well in a church context requires both spiritual wisdom and legal clarity.
From deciding whether a role needs to be advertised, to navigating Genuine Occupational Requirements and safer recruitment checks, church appointments carry unique responsibilities. Informal processes can feel relational — but they can also create risk, limit transparency and unintentionally narrow your candidate pool.
In this focused and practical session, we’ll explore how to recruit faithfully, fairly and safely — helping you strengthen your approach while protecting your church’s integrity and reputation.
You’ll leave with clearer guidance on advertising decisions, occupational requirements, safer recruitment essentials and a simple, practical checklist you can apply immediately.
